GoTo Player Privacy Policy

GoTo Player is an independent media player. It does not provide, sell, host, or endorse channels, subscriptions, playlists, streams, or media. You add your own sources.

Who operates GoTo Player

GoTo Player (Android package com.gotoiptv.gotoplayer) is published on Google Play by the developer account "achrafix". For privacy or support questions, email support@gotoplayer.app.

Data you provide

When you set up GoTo Player, you may enter a server URL, username, password, or playlist URL. GoTo Player sends these details directly to the service you chose so it can load and play your media. The developer does not run those services and does not receive or store your credentials on any developer server.

Data stored on your device

GoTo Player stores saved profiles, credentials, favorites, watch progress, recent activity, settings, and download state on your device. Sensitive app data is kept in encrypted platform storage. Files you download for offline viewing are stored locally on your device.

Network requests and third-party services

• The provider or playlist you add: receives the account or playlist details needed to log in, load your catalog, and stream or download media.
• The Movie Database (TMDB): may receive media titles to return artwork and details. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
• IPTV-org: GoTo Player may download its public channel-logo catalog when your provider does not supply artwork. Matching happens on your device; your channel names and viewing activity are not sent to IPTV-org.
• OpenSubtitles: may receive media search details when you choose to search for subtitles.
• YouTube: trailers you choose to watch open through YouTube.
• Google Play: used to check for and install app updates. GoTo Player does not download or install apps from anywhere else.

Each third party handles data under its own privacy policy and terms. GoTo Player supports HTTP for older providers, but HTTP does not encrypt credentials or viewing traffic. Use HTTPS whenever your provider supports it.

Advertising, analytics, and sale of data

GoTo Player contains no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK, and does not use the Android advertising ID. The developer does not collect, sell, or share personal data, and does not use it for targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Data on your device stays until you remove a profile, clear watch history, delete downloads, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Data sent to a service you add is controlled by that service; contact it about its retention and deletion practices. You can also email support@gotoplayer.app with any data question.

Children

GoTo Player is not directed to children under 13. You are responsible for the suitability and legality of the media sources you add.

Security

GoTo Player uses reasonable device security controls and encrypted storage for sensitive data. No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device updated, prefer HTTPS, and only connect to services you trust.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page and its effective date will be updated.

GoTo Player is based on the open-source Lumen project (MIT License). It is not an official Lumen release.
